  • Check-in is available from 3:00 pm, allowing you plenty of time to settle into your luxury self-contained cabin. Check-out is by 10:00 am. If you require an earlier arrival or later departure, please contact us before your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. You can collect your keys from the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park shop where staff will guide you to your cabin.

  • Our resident koalas can be viewed from the comfort of your private deck throughout your stay. To ensure your safety and the wellbeing of the animals, guests are not permitted to enter the koala habitats at the lodge without authorised staff present. We can arrange times with our wonderful staff for you to meet your koala during your stay. If you'd like an unforgettable hands-on experience, we recommend booking one of our VIP Wildlife Tours at the nearby Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, where you can enjoy supervised koala encounters

  • To protect the native wildlife that calls our property home, pets are not permitted at Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge. This policy helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of our resident koalas, kangaroos, native birds, and other wildlife.

  • Yes. Every cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, comfortable open-plan living area, air conditioning, and a private outdoor deck overlooking your own private koala habitat. Our cabins have the utilities for you to self-cater, however we do not provide food beyond basic tea, coffee (pods), water and milk supplies. If you wish to have food in your cabin on arrival, contact us to discuss the options we can provide. The Welcome Stranger Cafe & Bar is located across the road providing a great pace to eat during your stay.

  • Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests staying at Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge.

  • Absolutely. Guests can combine their accommodation with our private wildlife tours, national parks tours, helicopter experiences, food and wine tours, and airport transfers to create a personalised Kangaroo Island holiday.

  • Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all guests throughout your stay. Mobile phone reception is also available; however, coverage may vary depending on your mobile provider, as is common in some regional areas of Kangaroo Island.

  • Not necessarily. We offer Kingscote Airport transfers along with a range of private guided tours, allowing you to experience Kangaroo Island without hiring a vehicle. Many guests choose to combine accommodation, airport transfers, and guided touring for a stress-free holiday.

  • Wildlife is one of the highlights of staying at Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge. In addition to the resident koalas outside your cabin, you may also see kangaroos, native birds, possums, echidnas, and other local wildlife around the property. Our peaceful bushland setting provides an authentic Kangaroo Island nature experience.

  • We are currently accepting bookings for stays from 1st of October 2026 onwards. We recommend booking early, particularly during school holidays and peak travel periods, to secure your preferred dates.

  • Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge is located just a short 10-15 minute drive from Seal Bay Conservation Park, making it an ideal base for visiting one of the island's most famous wildlife attractions.

  • Yes. We offer luxury helicopter experiences ranging from short scenic flights over Kangaroo Island to exclusive winery tours and fully customised itineraries.

  • We recommend staying at least 3 to 5 days to experience the very best of Kangaroo Island. This allows plenty of time to relax in your luxury cabin, enjoy watching the resident koalas from your private deck, explore iconic attractions such as Seal Bay, Vivonne Bay, Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks, and Admirals Arch, and experience one or more of our private guided tours or luxury helicopter adventures.
