Check-in is available from 3:00 pm, allowing you plenty of time to settle into your luxury self-contained cabin. Check-out is by 10:00 am. If you require an earlier arrival or later departure, please contact us before your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. You can collect your keys from the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park shop where staff will guide you to your cabin.

Our resident koalas can be viewed from the comfort of your private deck throughout your stay. To ensure your safety and the wellbeing of the animals, guests are not permitted to enter the koala habitats at the lodge without authorised staff present. We can arrange times with our wonderful staff for you to meet your koala during your stay. If you'd like an unforgettable hands-on experience, we recommend booking one of our VIP Wildlife Tours at the nearby Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, where you can enjoy supervised koala encounters

To protect the native wildlife that calls our property home, pets are not permitted at Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge. This policy helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of our resident koalas, kangaroos, native birds, and other wildlife.

Yes. Every cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, comfortable open-plan living area, air conditioning, and a private outdoor deck overlooking your own private koala habitat. Our cabins have the utilities for you to self-cater, however we do not provide food beyond basic tea, coffee (pods), water and milk supplies. If you wish to have food in your cabin on arrival, contact us to discuss the options we can provide. The Welcome Stranger Cafe & Bar is located across the road providing a great pace to eat during your stay.

Wildlife is one of the highlights of staying at Kangaroo Island Koala Lodge. In addition to the resident koalas outside your cabin, you may also see kangaroos, native birds, possums, echidnas, and other local wildlife around the property.
